The Scenics - rare Toronto punk


Longtime reader Ramesh sent this in a while back & I owe him a huge apology for not posting it sooner...it's for his old band, The Scenics. A part of the little celebrated Toronto punk scene of the late 70's - even less celebrated than Vancouver!

The Scenics, were together from 1976-82, and have since reunited in 2008. Hardly anybody knew about them, but a small minority loved them. Their two albums (recorded 1977-80) are available as free downloads here. Jack Rabid of Big Takeover magazine called them Canada's answer to The Velvet Underground.
